Celebrate Scottish heritage at Willard Public Library’s Tartan Day on Saturday April 11. This engaging afternoon in Special Collections invites you to explore the history, identity, and traditions woven into Scottish culture.

Enjoy a series of informative sessions designed for both beginners and experienced researchers. Learn how to begin or expand your Scottish genealogy research. Discover how tartans connect to specific regions and families, and how their colors and patterns have evolved over time to reflect changing history and tradition.

Guests will also experience a live demonstration on how to pleat and fold a Great Kilt, offering a hands-on look at traditional Highland dress and craftsmanship.

Whether you’re researching your ancestry or simply curious about Scottish history, this program offers a welcoming space to learn, explore, and connect.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration required.
